Live AN abundant life

Abundant Life Recovery exemplifies the very nature and essence of God’s divine love to the broken-hearted, those who need inner healing or are in bondage to any type of addiction.

Recovery is not only about drugs and alcohol. Recovery is about redemption by getting back to a life of abundance in every area. Recovery is about regaining possession of the parts of your life that are out of control or seem lost or stolen.

I incorporate holistic spiritual treatment to provide safe, caring, nonjudgmental counseling, inner healing and coaching into the recovery process. Treating the whole person; spirit, soul, and body provides healing and restoration helping to establish peace and freedom to live a joyful, abundant life.

About Me

Hello!

Thanks for checking out my website. I'm Shifra Wylder. I'm witty, genuine and straight forward. I am a recovering legalist and perfectionist. I'm equally right & left brained. I'm also an artist and author. I enjoy travel, art, painting, writing, photography, music, dance and pretty much anything creative. I express my feelings through carefully selected emojis. I love to belly laugh & ugly cry and I am passionate about freedom. I like to think outside the box. I’m a bit of a rebel, usually with a cause.

I get gratification out of facing my fears and daring greatly. As Brené Brown quotes, “I want to be in the arena. I want to be brave with my life. And when we make the choice to dare greatly, we sign up to get our asses kicked. We can choose courage or we can choose comfort, but we can’t have both. Not at the same time.”

WHY I DO WHAT I DO

I grew up in a family who struggled with addictions. My father was a gambler & sex addict. My mother was an alcoholic & prescription meds addict. Both eventually became sober. Well, mom stopped drinking but kept her prescription meds to cope with her distressed life and physical pain. Under her circumstances, I fully understand.

When I was 8 years old my oldest brother Steven was using drugs and committed suicide. In 2005 my brother Scott died of a heroin overdose. After the last tragic event, I thought to myself, even said out loud, "This didn't have to happen! Maybe if just one person was able to get through to them it may have made the difference between life or death."  Who knows?

MY FOCUS

I care deeply about helping people heal from the bondages of any addiction as well as from trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders and self-limiting beliefs. I made the decision wholeheartedly to give hope to the hopeless, heal the broken-hearted and help set people free by becoming a counselor, coach and healer. I will be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
